Bridge or Bust Parts
It really saddens me to write this, I and my kids are big fans of Upper Story STEM toys, and the Bridge or Bust is jet another great idea for a toy, BUT the build quality of this set is cheap and fragile. The base structures and the sails for the boat are made out of cardboard paper when they really should have been made out of firm plastic. It should had been sturdy enough to survive being put together by an adolescent kid. It's hard even for a grown up to keep the cardboard from tearing apart when different parts are supposed to be pushed together. Yes, this set is a big package and bit pricy already as it includes a lot of parts, but perhaps it should had been a bit more expensive then, with stronger foundation materials, to get a more priceworthy feel to it. To compromise on the base quality really hurts my trust for this toy maker and that is not the way to go for your products. I'm not looking for cheap, I'm looking for something better then what I typically get from the common toy store.
The included manual also needs a face lift. IKEA and LEGOI has been around long enough for you guys to have role models in the manual industry to learn from. And you really should include a QR-code to a page where the manual could be downloaded in any other language. Please make this great concept justice and do a 2.0. version, the right way.

We love it; customer service is amazing. I contacted them in regards to a warped piece and within 10 min they have shipped a new replacement part. The item was expensive and shipping was costly but everyone loves it and worth it so far.
Actually kept the kids off the electronics for hours they not only enjoyed the game the first time but went back to it multiple times and even though it was a chistmas gift my son pulled it out this past weekend when he had a friend over for a sleepover and they both played together without electronics in sight for a few hours.
I bought this for my 8 years old son and he loves it. He plays with the set regularly. We love that there is a story to guide us through our building journey. It is a well designed and well made toy. Worth every dollar.
The game is funny. However, at the contrary of the other games like Turing Tumble, this one does not teach you anything.
The price has no sense, and I got one beam broken, so I will not be able to complete all puzzles.
Depending on your building approach is not intuitive how to prepare or adjust your construction, because everything is falling at the same time.
Thank you for the review. Please contact us at hello@upperstory.com and we would be happy to replace the broken part.

I bought this game for my son’s birthday and we had a great time setting it up and building our first couple of bridges. However, pretty early on we discovered that the car wasn’t working properly. I emailed the company and they sent a new one out straight away so great customer service. So we started building some more bridges and then my son over wound the car and it broke (I checked he was winding it the correct way) so I’ve now had to order a brand new car. The game itself is brilliant and very well engineered, fun to play but it is too easy for the car to break. Given that we’ve paid £140 plus shipping for the game plus now nearly £20 for a replacement car including shipping, I’d expect a more robust car, that would be my only criticism for an otherwise excellent game
Thank you for the review and we certainly expect our products to hold up better. Your order was refunded and please let us know if there are any further issues.
Excellent game that is fun and makes them think. Great service from Upper story also, they replaced the car for me quickly at no cost when it wouldn’t wind properly. No issues since. I would allow time to set it up before having too many kids trying to help.
