Bridge or Bust Parts
It really saddens me to write this, I and my kids are big fans of Upper Story STEM toys, and the Bridge or Bust is jet another great idea for a toy, BUT the build quality of this set is cheap and fragile. The base structures and the sails for the boat are made out of cardboard paper when they really should have been made out of firm plastic. It should had been sturdy enough to survive being put together by an adolescent kid. It's hard even for a grown up to keep the cardboard from tearing apart when different parts are supposed to be pushed together. Yes, this set is a big package and bit pricy already as it includes a lot of parts, but perhaps it should had been a bit more expensive then, with stronger foundation materials, to get a more priceworthy feel to it. To compromise on the base quality really hurts my trust for this toy maker and that is not the way to go for your products. I'm not looking for cheap, I'm looking for something better then what I typically get from the common toy store.
The included manual also needs a face lift. IKEA and LEGOI has been around long enough for you guys to have role models in the manual industry to learn from. And you really should include a QR-code to a page where the manual could be downloaded in any other language. Please make this great concept justice and do a 2.0. version, the right way.

We love it; customer service is amazing. I contacted them in regards to a warped piece and within 10 min they have shipped a new replacement part. The item was expensive and shipping was costly but everyone loves it and worth it so far.
Actually kept the kids off the electronics for hours they not only enjoyed the game the first time but went back to it multiple times and even though it was a chistmas gift my son pulled it out this past weekend when he had a friend over for a sleepover and they both played together without electronics in sight for a few hours.
I bought this for my 8 years old son and he loves it. He plays with the set regularly. We love that there is a story to guide us through our building journey. It is a well designed and well made toy. Worth every dollar.
The game is funny. However, at the contrary of the other games like Turing Tumble, this one does not teach you anything.
The price has no sense, and I got one beam broken, so I will not be able to complete all puzzles.
Depending on your building approach is not intuitive how to prepare or adjust your construction, because everything is falling at the same time.
Thank you for the review. Please contact us at hello@upperstory.com and we would be happy to replace the broken part.

The large box and many pieces take about 60-90minutes to setup the first time. Subsequent uses take about 5 minutes to get set up.
The story book is great, but if you choose to go off the main path the stories are limited (sez my grandson 10yrs who therefore rated 4 stars) . The challenge of each build keeps him fully engaged and exploring different solutions. He takes particular delight in fixing his mother's suggestions.
The mechanics of the bridge components are very clever and the flexibility to try different approaches is a great feature. Every test run of the truck and loads is loaded with excitement and anticipation.
Great addition to the Turing Tumble, Spintronics family of educational games.
I bought Bridge or Bust for my two grandsons, 9 & 12. They absolutely love it! We have purchased Turing Tumble and Spintronics as well & loved them. This one intrigues them infinitely. My son said every Saturday the 9 year old gets it out to build another bridge. They not only follow the card suggestions also make up their own challenges and free build with it as well. Thank you so much for developing such fantastic sets that challenge them without using screen time.
Bought for grandchildren, who really enjoyed the challenge.
